Missed by Minutes!

Border Line!

A call ring one day, when the sun had risen high,
Jumped out of joy, when I heard my friend reply,
Heard his plans, he dropping by the border line,
Eager to meet, happiness drove down my spine.

It’s been like so many years since I met him,
Feelings out spurred, as they blissfully brim,
Planned all the activities committing no clanger,
All set for the excitement, as cased as in banger.

Clock ticks, mounts the heart beat to its extreme,
Rejoicing those worth-while moments spent supreme,
As I landed at the border line, trying to reach,
Number showed busy, and sometimes out of reach.

Heart ached for a moment, reached so far to meet,
Was not able to spot, was not able to greet,
Both of us were separated by a border line,
Hope dropped to ground zero from cloud 9.

It took quite some time to digest this imperceptible fact,
Could not grab hold of, though the planning was exact,
Returned back with the sadness filled with in the heavy heart,
We were so close to gather, but missed by minutes and fell apart…
